- Hello everybody in the net, this is my contribution to the un-official
- "Let's-see-who-makes-the-prettiest-AmiTech-logo" competition.
-
- I have seen a logo called "the Christmas tree" that in my opinion is
- horrible and it looks like this:
- -
- ---
- -----
- -------
- I think this logo doesn't has the impressive look required for a computer
- supposed to eradicate every other computer on earth when it returns in
- September :-)
-
- Somebody tried to fix this "thing" and redesigned the logo like this:
- \
- \ \
- \ \ \
- \ \ \ \
- Well, this looks a lot better but i don't think this kind of break with the
- past will convince anybody to trade his PeeCee for an AMIGA.:-/
-
- So i decided to give shape to an idea that was in my mind since fall of 94
- when we all believed Commodore UK was going to be the bid winner.
-
- My logo tries to suggest a sort of continuity in time as if last year's
- nightmare hasn't take place but, at the same time it suggest a sort of
- maturity ("we have learnt from the mistakes of Commodore").
-
- To join this two ideas i have put on top of the logo the word AMIGA as we
- all know it (this is a bold-italic GARAMOND font) and the logo itself is a
- capital A (normal GARAMOND) with its horizontal bar replaced by a brushed
- checkmark that resembles the old AMIGA checkmark but with a more dynamic
- look.
-
- The logo also looks very well with a black background an the character in
- white.
-
- I would like to know what you all think about it and specially i would like
- to know ESCOM's opinion (Anybody can show it to them?:-)
